Counseling and Help for Bullying

Our Sessions For Bullying Are Effective, Confidential, And Secure.

Bullying may be defined as a persistent, deliberate attempt to hurt or humiliate someone.

Counseling and Help for Bullying provides support to individuals experiencing ongoing bullying. The term ‘bullying’ is sometimes misunderstood; while isolated incidents can be serious and require attention, bullying is defined by its persistent nature. The following information is intended for individuals who have experienced bullying. However, individuals who engage in bullying behavior may also benefit from therapy to address underlying issues and the motivation to bully others. Those who have been reasonably accused of bullying are encouraged to seek therapeutic support at the Natural Healing Clinic.

There are various types of bullying, but most have three things in common:

  • It is deliberately hurtful behavior.
  • It is repeated over time.
  • There is an imbalance of power or even a perceived imbalance, which makes it hard for those being bullied to defend themselves.

Counseling and Help For Adult.

This issue extends beyond children, as adults may also engage in or become victims of bullying in the workplace, relationships, and families. In British Columbia, workplace bullying, harassment, and discrimination are prohibited by law. While these legal protections are intended to reduce bullying and promote psychological well-being in professional settings, harm may already have occurred before such behaviors are recognized and addressed.

Adults who experience bullying often exhibit symptoms similar to those observed in children, including low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, changes in appetite, sleep disturbances, diminished work performance, social withdrawal, and misplaced aggression.

Therapeutic intervention can assist adults in addressing the psychological trauma associated with bullying.
